Sometimes, we need someone to listen to us, and let us know we are not alone. At other times, we need to go deeper to understand those things about ourselves that can be harder to make sense of and how they are keeping us stuck.
Psychotherapy is a process through which you can gain clarity about what is happening in your life and within yourself right now, how you got there, and what you may need to move forward.
Through talking about your experiences and feelings, and making links to past experiences, psychotherapy can help you make sense of your self, develop more self-awareness and acceptance, and find ways to work through current difficulties in your life to move forward.
Our therapists are all ACC Sensitive Claims providers and are able to offer both short and long term therapy for survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault.
PLEASE NOTE: All our therapists are fully booked at present, and for this reason we are not currently maintaining a waitlist.
To search for an available therapist elsewhere, you can search the ACC website, or you can search for both ACC Sensitive Claims therapists and private therapists at the Talking Works website. Alternatively, you can phone ACC on 0800 735 566.
